Privacy Policy
How Write Custody Agreement collects, uses, and protects information.
Last updated: 2026-10-10
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Write Custody Agreement handles information when you visit the website, create an account, use the guided custody-agreement workspace, or generate a pet agreement.
Information We Process
We may process:
- Account information — such as your name, email address, authentication data, and account preferences.
- Agreement inputs and outputs — the questions, facts, preferences, and other text you submit in the guided workspace or pet writer, plus the resulting pet agreement draft saved in your account.
- Technical and usage data — such as browser type, device information, IP address, timestamps, pages visited, and security events.
- Support communications — information you send when requesting help or providing feedback.
- Payment information — if paid features are offered, payment details are handled by the applicable payment provider. We do not intend to store complete card numbers on our servers.
Please avoid entering Social Security numbers, complete financial account numbers, medical records, or other information that is not needed to draft your agreement.
AI Processing and FastClaw
The guided workspace sends your message, pseudonymous user and session identifiers, the selected language, and limited product context to FastClaw so the configured custody-agreement agent can generate a response. The FastClaw API key remains on our server and is not sent to your browser.
FastClaw may process and retain request data according to its configuration and the terms that apply to the FastClaw account used by this service. Do not treat the chat as a confidential conversation with an attorney.
Pet Agreement Processing and OpenRouter
When you choose to generate a pet agreement, the names, pet details, proposed care terms, selected state and language, and other answers you provide are sent from our server to OpenRouter for drafting. The OpenRouter API key stays on our server. We save the completed pet agreement draft in your account so you can view and download it. We also record token usage associated with your account. Unfinished requests do not consume your one successful generation.
OpenRouter may process and retain request data under the settings and terms applicable to the service account. Avoid including information that is unnecessary for the agreement. Pet agreement drafts are informational and are not confidential communications with an attorney.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, and secure the service;
- authenticate users and protect accounts;
- generate requested drafting assistance;
- diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits;
- respond to support requests; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that support hosting, authentication, AI processing, analytics, communications, payments, and security. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the public, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods may vary by data type and service configuration.
If an account is removed, its saved pet agreement draft and associated active sign-in methods, sessions, support conversations, API keys, and agent-usage records may be deleted or de-identified. Limited transaction records may be retained where reasonably needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and devices.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of certain personal information. You may also be able to object to certain processing. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
The service is for adults who are able to form a binding agreement. It is not directed to children, and children should not submit information through the service.
Changes
We may update this policy. The updated date above shows when the latest version took effect. Material changes may also be communicated through the service when appropriate.
Contact
For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, and other account matters, sign in and submit a support ticket. If you cannot access your account, create a new account with an email address you control and submit a ticket explaining the issue. Do not include unnecessary sensitive family information in a support request.
